About Us
There is only one way to build expertise in any industry and that is with years of experience. Peter Westbrook has over 40 years of business and building experience and Westbrook REI Construction was conceived and born out of the housing crisis and recession of 2008. In that regard, we are not a normal residential construction company that began offering and contracting its services directly to homeowners. We cut our teeth by buying distressed and ugly houses in Stockton, Lodi, Manteca and Sacramento. We used our own money to fix, update, restore and remodel them in innovative ways that most contractors have not experienced.
We worked with Architects, City and County staff to get new plans approved and at the same time fought for every penny we earned in a recovering market where selling houses was difficult and bank approvals were scarce. We learned how to create new opportunities for old houses (with some over 100 years) to create virtually new homes in the shell of yesteryears design.
By moving walls we opened up old houses and their floor plans and in the process created different living spaces and an unparalleled expertise in the process. It is our specialty and it is not something that is taught or understood by most General Contractors. It is what sets us apart and allows us to walk in any house and collaborate with an owner about layout, design, planning and construction.
In the past 11 years we have bought and sold hundreds of houses and fine tuned our craft to be able to create the most beautifully restored, renovated and remodeled homes in the central valley. But we didn’t stop there we also built several new houses and now we offer our services and expertise to the marketplace at large.

About Me
Owner: Peter Westbrook
My name is Peter Westbrook and I was born and raised right here in the Central Valley. At WREI Construction, its my name on the door and that means something. I have 40 years of Business and Building experience and when it comes to completing project there is no better.
When I make a commitment to a homeowner, I personally hold everyone I work with accountable for performing on their promises. Whether its a bank dealing with a financing, the insurance company, the city or county for planning and approval, inspections and permits or a a customer just needing more information, I am relentless and I push until the job is done and you have the project completed.
I have a sense of urgency that is contagious and I make things happen. My job is to get things done and that means I approach every house and homeowner with a commitment to say what I mean and do what I say, when I say it.
How can I say that? My customers attest to it. Success to me is measured in my ability to keep my promises and in the process help others achieve their goals. I have always said that my Boss has been my customers, employees and family.
I am not just a General Contractor, I am a builder that understands the way people live and the way that business needs to operate to coexist in your home. It means that we are going to keep clean work spaces, we are going to communicate at every step and that you will see the difference in working with professionals that are working on your home. My mantra is simple, you will always know what is happening because if it’s in the way we plan for it, we move it or we find the workaround.
